The narrative field is where Helga is at home, most notably in the telling of stories that are difficult, dark, dirty or just downright crazy, and yet somehow also "essentially human".

 

After numerous shorts of varying lengths and formats, she is preparing two independent German feature films, one of which is presently in development, the other in pre-production.

Understanding a director's vision, finding the perfect visual concept to convey a story in all it's subtleties, and translating this into equipment lists, lighting diagrammes and shooting plans, is where she thrives.
